I’m proud to announce that I just finished my Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance from Western Governors University 🎓
Earned while working full-time as a SOC analyst: nights, weekends, and a lot of coffee.
This past weekend I took part in my first Capture the Flag competition, Hack The Box’s Holmes CTF 2026 (“The Reichenbach Directive”), alongside a few colleagues as team FirstEnergy TSOC.
It was a great chance to practice and sharpen my forensic investigation skills in a hands-on, competitive setting. Next time, I’m hoping to dedicate even more time to the challenges themselves.
